Delivery
3 Steps to a Smooth Tank Delivery
Plan your Tank Location - Choose a clear, level site with easy truck access. Consider downpipes, pump position, and overflow direction.
Select the Right Delivery Option - Choose between Standard Delivery (drop off only) or Position on Pad (with assistance). Know what’s included and what’s your responsibility.

Prepare Your Site - Ensure your tank base is ready, access is clear, and any required helpers or equipment are available on delivery day.
Tank Delivery Options – Simple, Safe & Flexible
At Tankworld Tasmania, we’ve been delivering quality poly water tanks across the state for over 30 years. Our delivery process is designed to be efficient, safe, and tailored to suit your property and tank type.
Below is a clear breakdown of our two delivery options — so your tank arrives safely and on schedule.
Standard Delivery – Roll Off or Lift Off Only
Our most popular delivery method.
This is the fastest and easiest way to get your tank delivered. The tank is safely unloaded at an accessible location on your property — and you can move it into place later, at your convenience.
- Ideal for customers who are ready to handle final positioning themselves.
- Delivered by a solo driver, with no need for on-site assistance.
- Slim Line and Septic Tanks are lifted off (not rolled) and placed safely.
Why choose this option?
· Fast & efficient
· No need to coordinate helpers
· Great if you have lifting equipment or assistance organised later
Position on Pad – With Customer Assistance
Need a hand placing your tank directly onto its base?
This option is for you.
Our driver (with your help) will roll the tank into position and flip it upright onto your prepared tank pad.
- You’ll need to supply 1- 2 physically capable people to assist dependant on the tank size
- Site must be safely accessible, with a clear delivery area.
- This option may require extra coordination or lead time.
Why choose this option?
· Helpful for large tanks or tight access
· No need to move the tank after delivery
· Peace of mind if you're not comfortable handling it yourself
Delivery Access Requirements
Our delivery vehicles are long, high and carry a lot of weight over the front axle and therefore have restrictions on where they can travel. Our trucks are designed for on road use only and will not travel off road or over paddocks where they will likely become stuck.
To ensure safe and efficient delivery:
- Truck Size: Allow for 19 m long × 3.5 m wide × 5 m high vehicle
- Unloading Area: Hardstand, Clear, flat 5 m × 5 m area required
- Notify us in advance if access is limited (tight turns, trees, etc.)
- Truck-only delivery (no trailer) is available upon request for tight sites
Delivery Terms & Conditions
Tankworld Tasmania will deliver the water tank to the customers property on a date and time confirmed with the customer by Tankworld Tasmania Dispatch when the appropriate full load of tanks is being delivered into the customers requested area.
The Tankworld Tasmania delivery driver will endeavour to place the tank on the customers adequately prepared site providing clear access is provided for a long wheel base medium rigid truck. The delivery driver will not take the truck across paddocks or along any track that fails to provide adequate overhead clearance or a suitable base for a heavy vehicle. If the Tankworld Tasmania delivery driver deems the site inaccessible for his vehicle or that the site presents a physical risk, he may refuse to place the tank on site. The tank will be unloaded in a safe position within the customers property. If the site is below ground level, on a steep site or situated on an elevated stand, placement of the tank on such a site is the customers responsibility.
Once the tank is unloaded the delivery driver will ask the customer where the tank outlet/gate valve is to be installed. If the customer elects not to have the outlet/gate valve installed at this time, Tankworld Tasmania staff will not return to install these fittings except at an additional expense to the customer.
The Tankworld Tasmania delivery driver will require assistance to unload your tank and place on site (if possible). Tankworld Tasmania will deliver to your property and unload your new tank conditional upon this assistance being provided.
- 590 Ltr - 14,300 Ltr Poly tanks no assistance required, just guidance on where the tank is to be placed.
